What are the normal hematocrit levels?
Different institutions will define the normal hematocrit range differently. But in the cross-population 2017 study, the following levels are specified to be normal:
Children – 30 to 44%, depending on their sex and age
Female – 37 to 47%
Males – 42 to 52%
